Research Expertise: Learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, math curriculum for students with disabilities

Ms. Murphy has worked with students with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorder at both the elementary and secondary level. Her studies focus on students across multiple disability categories and math methods instruction, as well as the identification of math anxiety and supporting practices. Ms. Murphy's current research interests include the creation of a sequenced math curriculum for students with high incidence disabilities, as well as the use of culturally relevant practices in the special education classroom.
