Curriculum Vitae

I am originally from Little Rock, Arkansas and completed by bachelors degree at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. After working as a neuropsychological technician for three years I moved on to graduate doctoral training at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. My clinical training has included individual, group, and couples therapy in a variety of treatment settings, outpatient and inpatient. My research interests have mostly surrounded how providers can apply evidenced based practice in clinical settings. This has included applying a neuropsychological assessment tool in a neurology practice, using client feedback in psychotherapy to better understand therapy cases that do not show improvement over time, and I am currently working on a project focused on group therapy outcomes for borderline personality disorder. I presented preliminary results of this project at the American Group Psychotherapy Annual Meeting. My primary mentors during my graduate training at BYU included Dr. Michael Lambert, Dr. Gary Burlingame, and my dissertation chair, Dr. Mona Hopkins. I am very excited to be working within the group therapy program at the PRACTICE. Our staff members and clinicians are highly motivated and deeply committed to the clients we serve.
