Research Expertise: Early childhood special education, early childhood education, autism, social skills, and inclusion

Maryssa Kucskar has a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is currently a Visiting Faculty member in the Department of Educational and Clinical Studies in the College of Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has previously taught students in inclusive and self contained classrooms at the early childhood and elementary levels. In addition, she has been an instructional coach for early childhood special education teachers and a special education facilitator. She brings experience working as a doctoral student intern with the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) in Washington, DC. Her current research interests are centered around Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, children with Autism, social skills interventions, and inclusive school practices.
