Curriculum Vitae

Lois Paretti is the Coordinator of Clinical Field Experiences for the Department of Teaching and Learning. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Florida and holds a M.A. in Developmental Psychology and Ed.M. in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her responsibilities encompass directing all aspects and functions of the field and clinical experiences leading to elementary and secondary teacher licensure, including preservice teacher preparation programs for undergraduates and graduate alternative route to licensure teacher candidates in the college programs. She is instrumental in negotiating the 21st Century Schools partnership between CCSD and UNLV. Before joining UNLV she was an elementary school principal in New York. Last year, the Association of Teacher Educators, as a Distinguished Clinician in Teacher Education, honored her. Passionate about supporting new teachers, she believes that collaboration among schools and colleges is crucial to preparing experienced and effective teachers.
